Plan ahead: Free & cheap things to do on a Friday in Miami

Is it Friday yet? If you’re ready to enjoy that fabulous day that ushers in the weekend – but you don’t want to break the bank – we’ve got you covered!

We’ve done the research and rounded up the ways you can enjoy a Friday in Miami for free or on the cheap.

Make sure to bookmark this post for future reference, so you’ll never be left scrambling to find something to do.

  • For a fun, Friday night about town, check out free Viernes Culturales. The arts and cultural festival in Little Havana takes place every third Friday of the month at Domino Plaza. There is also a free walking tour of Little Havana starting at 7 p.m.
  • Twilight Fridays at the Coral Gables Museum is a great option for a casual first date. Every first Friday of the month you can enjoy free admission to the museum galleries and exhibitions. Don’t worry, you won’t just be silently observing art, there’s also live music and a cash bar! For more information on free museum days in Miami, click here.
  • Have you lived in Miami your whole life and thought about the history of the Art Deco building in Miami Beach? There’s a great Art Deco Walking Tour you can take for $30 that starts at 10:30 a.m. and lasts about two hours. Afterward, you can hit the beach and cool off.
  • If you’re not free during the day but are looking to get the weekend started right after work, there are great Happy Hour deals happening all over Miami-Dade.
  • During baseball season, check out a Miami Marlins game. They have great ticket deals and offers for Friday night games. The park has also added many new concessions and social activations for game watchers to participate in.
  • For those looking to squeeze in a fitness class, you can check out our fitness class and events calendar for any classes taking place on Fridays.
  • Explore the outdoors with on of these unique outdoor activities offered at Miami-Dade parks where you can enjoy mountain biking trails at Virginia Key Beach, batting cages at Tropical Park or a bees and trees class at the Fruit and Spice Park.
  • Brews on a Friday? Say no more, check out our list of Miami breweries offering free and cheap tours. You’ll get a quick tour of the facilities and sometimes a complimentary brew to go along with it.
