Tamarac July Fourth festivities & fireworks

Lots of July Fourth events in Weston, Fort Lauderdale, Deerfield and other towns in Broward feature fireworks, parades and plenty of live entertainment. Many are free, with free parking.

Kids' activities are often featured. Lots of events include live bands and food trucks. 

Usually, Fourth of July events in 2024 are on Thursday, July 4, with occasional exceptions, including the towns of Weston and Lauderhill. Weston fireworks are July 3 and on July 4, the town is throwing a parade.

Usually pets are not permitted at Independence Day events. It's a good idea to leave pets at home for their safety.  Dogs and other animals generally do not like fireworks.

Broward Fourth of July events in 2024

Coconut Creek

Fireworks and drones, live entertainment and food trucks are featured at an outdoor extravaganza at the casino in Coconut Creek. Entry and parking are free.

When:  7 p.m. – 11 p.m. Thursday, July 4

Venue: Seminole Casino Coconut Creek

Coral Springs

Bands, food trucks and fireworks are featured at the festivities 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. Thursday, July 4, and entry is free.

The venue is Mullins Park, 10000 Northwest 29th Street, Coral Springs 33065

Musical entertainment includes Top 40, Latin, R&B, and rock.

Fireworks are at 8:45 p.m.

Davie

July Fourth events are for town residents, and registration is required.

Deerfield Beach

July Fourth celebration is 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. July 4, including live entertainment and fireworks.

The event is in the main beach parking lot, 149 SE 21st Avenue, Deerfield Beach. Parking fees may apply.

Entertainment includes:

  • 4 p.m. Nostaljah.
  • 5:15 p.m. Texas Twister ZZ Top Show.
  • 6:30 p.m. Play It Again, Luke Bryan tunes.
  • 7:45 p.m. Alienation.

Offsite parking is at Sullivan Park, 1700 Riverview Road, Deerfield Beach 33441.

Shuttles are offered from St. Ambrose, 380 S. Federal Highway, Deerfield Beach 33441

Fort Lauderdale

July Fourth festivities are at  Las Olas Oceanside Park, 3000 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, and on Fort Lauderdale Beach off Las Olas Boulevard.

Festivities include:

  • Kids zone with inflatable water slides
  • beach games
  • fireworks at 8:45 p.m. on the beach
  • 12 p.m. S.O.U.L. band
  • 2:45 p.m. Relentless
  • 5 p.m. Reaxtion Band
  • 7:30 p.m. En Vogue

Entry is free. Parking fees apply. Please return for information on parking fees at Las Olas Garage, 200 E. Las Olas Circle, and Fort Lauderdale Beach Park, 700 Seabreeze Boulevard.

Hollywood

Star Spangled Spectacular includes entertainment at 6 p.m. and off-shore fireworks at 9 p.m.  on Hollywood Beach. Entertainment is at the bandshell on Johnson Street. 

Entertainment includes a DJ at 6 p.m. and at 7:30 p.m. “The Viva Band.”

Parking for the event in Hollywood garages at the beach is $30. That includes garages at 327 Nebraska Street  and 300 Connecticut Street.

Some designated areas of Hollywood, including the downtown district and Hollywood beach, are on the route for the Hollywood Sun Shuttle. The shuttles offer electric transportation rides for $2 if requested on the app. Rides provided by waving down a driver are free. Download “Ride Circuit” on a digital device to request a ride. Rides on the shuttle likely are going to be in high demand.

Lauderdale-by-the-Sea

Independence Day events Thursday, July 4, include a parade, activities and fireworks. Here is the schedule:

  • 10 a.m. parade
  • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Family Fun Day at El Prado Park, 4500 El Mar Drive, with performances, face painting and water slide
  • 9 p.m. Fireworks display launched off the beach.

Lauderhill

Drone lights show, food trucks and a bounce house are featured at free Third of July event 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, at Lauderhill Sports Park, 7500 W. Oakland Park Blvd., Lauderhill 33319. Entry is free.

Margate

July 4th events in Margate include a parade starting at 9 a.m. on Margate Boulevard from 76th Avenue to State Road 7.

A pool party is 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the water park with a steel drum band. The water park is at 6200 Royal Palm Boulevard. Entry fees apply. Fees for the pool party are $6 for Margate residents 5 and older and $12 for non-residents 5 and older. For ages 2 to 4, admission is $2 for residents and $5 for non-residents, and free for children younger than 2. The venue includes a pool, water slides and splash pad. 

Fourth of July Extravaganza is 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with food trucks, Vam Band at 6 p.m. and fireworks at 9 p.m. at Margate Boulevard and US 441. Free entry and free parking.

Miramar

Fireworks and other Fourth of July events are 4 p.m. to about 9 p.m. July 4, and entry is free. 

The venue is Miramar Regional Park, 16801 Miramar Parkway 33027.  Parking is $10.

The event includes Miramar Land Kid Zone with games, food trucks and a dance party. No pets. No personal fireworks. No drones.

Fireworks are about 8:30 p.m. and entry by 8:30 p.m. is required.

Pembroke Pines

Festivities in Pembroke Pines are 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Thursday, July 4, including rides, pie-eating event, food trucks, games, art vendors and live band, Sekond Nature. Fireworks are at 9 p.m. Entry is free.

The venue Pines recreation center, 7400 Pines Boulevard, Pembroke Pines.

Plantation

Plantation July Fourth festivities include a parade at 9 a.m. Thursday, July 4. The route is from Broward Boulevard and Northwest 46th Avenue, west on Broward Boulevard to Northwest 69th Avenue, to Northwest Fourth Street to Plantation city hall, 400 NW 73rd Ave., Plantation 33317.

Kids' Zone, entertainment & fireworks are part of the festivities. Events are at the Central Park ballfields, 600 Central Park Drive, Plantation. Here is the schedule:

  • 6 p.m. Kids Zone at Plantation Central Park ballfields, 9151 NW 2nd St., Plantation.
  • 7 p.m. live band Mr. Nice Guy.
  • 9 p.m. fireworks.

Entry is free. Food is available for purchase. Bring your own blankets or lawn chairs. No pets, please. Parking is limited. If possible walk, ride a bike or ride with someone else. For information, 954-452-2510

Plantation Walk plaza

Free live entertainment and artisan vendors 12 p.m. – 10 p.m. Thursday, July 4 at Plantation Walk, 321 N. University Dr., Plantation. The event includes 

  • DJ Vivi
  • Giaco PopRock Trio
  • The Apostoli Floyd Encounter
  • DJ Mack
  • The Radio Band
  • SOSOS

Entry and parking are free. No outside food or beverages. The plaza offers several restaurants.

Pompano Beach

July Fourth Fireworks Spectacular in Pompano Beach is 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. July 4 on the beach south of the pier, 222 N. Pompano Beach Boulevard. Entertainment includes Pan Paradise at 5:30 p.m., FM Band Miami at 7 p.m, and fireworks at 9 p.m.

Bring your own seats or blankets. No drones. No fireworks. No pets. No glass. No alcohol. Parking is at the end of Atlantic Boulevard and A1A. Street parking and the beach garage are available. Parking rates at meters are $4 an hour. The fee for parking at the pier parking garage is $20 cash. 

Sunrise

Sunrise features a parade, fun day and event with entertainment and fireworks.

Parade & Family Fun Day is 9 a.m. to noon July 4, featuring a parade with floats. The parade will travel west on Sunset Strip from Northwest 12th Street to the park at 6600 Sunset Strip. At the park, festivities include refreshments, food trucks, fun zone for kids including an inflatable water slide & rock wall. The park features a playground and splash pad. Entry is free. Parking is at the park and Village Elementary School, 2100 NW 70th Avenue.

Entertainment & fireworks

Entertainment and fireworks are 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. July 4 outdoors at the Amerant Bank Arena, One Panther Parkway, Sunrise. The event includes a fun zone for youngsters, food and drink vendors, entertainment & fireworks. Free entry. Free parking. Information, phone 954-747-4600,

Fireworks are at 9:30 p.m.

Tamarac

Fun for kids, food trucks and fireworks are featured in Tamarac. Festivities are 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, July 4, at Tamarac Sports complex, 9901 NW 77th Street, Tamarac.

Entry is free, including entertainment from Jam Band. Fun for kids includes inflatables, face painting and art. Food vendors are on site.  Fireworks are at 9 p.m., and feel free to bring your own seats.

Park at designated parking areas and use a free shuttle. Parking is at Tamarac City Hall, 7525 NW 88th Avenue and Tamarac Community Center, 8601 W. Commercial Boulevard.  Parking is offered 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. at  Kings Point, 7620 N. Nob Hill Road. Information: 954-597-3620 or online.

Weston

Weston features festivities and a parade, and entry is free.

Weston is offering family-friendly entertainment, games and fireworks 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 3 at Weston Regional Park. The event includes:

  • Shane Duncan Band.
  • games.
  • photo.
  •  photo stations.
  • artisan vendors.
  • fireworks.
  • food and drinks for purchase.

 Weston Regional Park is at 20200 Saddle Club Road, Weston. Entry is free. Parking is free.

Weston Hometown Parade is 10:30 a.m. July 4 with the route starting on Town Center Boulevard and Three Village Road, east to Bonaventure Boulevard, winding through Weston Town Center along Bell Tower Lane.

Broward Parks

Entry is free Thursday, July 4 at Broward Parks and Recreation regional parks that usually require a fee on weekends and holidays. The parks include Tree Tops Park in Davie, Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach and others.
