Fourth of July: Free fireworks and other festivities in Palm Beach

Celebrating Independence Day means picnics, outdoor concerts, beach parties, and fireworks. Here's a sample of what some municipalities are planning for the 2024 holiday. You can use this list to find the best places to see fireworks in Palm Beach County. Check back for updates as more info becomes available.

Boca Raton

Start the celebration early with fun and games for kids in the afternoon, followed by a fabulous finale in the evening, culminating with live entertainment and fireworks. Both events are free and open to the public.

Featuring fun for the whole family, including the following:

  • Food trucks and vendors (for purchase)

Fabulous Finale + Fireworks

When: From 7 to 9:30 p.m. (fireworks start at 9:10 p.m.)
Where: Spanish River Athletic Facility, at Countess de Hoernle Park, 1000 NW Spanish River Blvd.

Features:

  • 7:15 p.m.: Opening Act
  • 8:05 p.m.; The Samantha Russell Band (high-energy rock and pop band)
  • Food trucks and other vendors (for purchase)

Blankets & lawn chairs are permitted. Not permitted on site are pets, coolers, sparklers, fireworks, drones or alcohol.

Boca, West

Fireworks Show & Concert

Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Sunset Cove in West Boca.

Take your lawn chairs and blankets and settle in for an evening of family fun in the park. Entertainment features Big Vince and the Phat Cats. Free admission and parking. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.

  • Performance starts 7 p.m.
  • Fireworks at 9 p.m.

Boynton Beach

July 4th: Red, White & Blue with a waterfront view

Free event:

  • When: 4-9:30 p.m., Thursday, July 4, 2024 
  • Where:  Intracoastal Park, 2240 N. Federal Highway, Boynton Beach. 561-742-6010.
  • Fireworks at 9:05 p.m.: Display synchronized to music over the waterfront.

Fireworks show will be synchronized to patriotic music; begins promptly at 9:05 p.m. Take your chairs and blankets to enjoy the waterfront view. Not permitted: Grilling, personal fireworks or pets.

Live music:

  • Opening Band: Joey Calderaio Band
  • Headlining Band: Whisky Six

Activities include:

Delray Beach 4th of July Celebration

  • When: Thursday, July 4, 2024, 6-9:30 p.m.
  • Where: East Atlantic Avenue and A1A, Delray Beach

This free Village by the Sea event starts at 6 p.m., with the solemn flag-raising ceremony, an honor guard and singing of the National Anthem. 

The public is invited to join the celebration because it has something for everyone, including:

  • contests
  • food trucks and vendors
  • children’s activities and games
  • non-stop entertainment

Visitors are invited to ride their bike, since there will be a bike valet on site; or get a free ride on FreeBee anywhere in the downtown area.

July 4th ‘Ignite the Night' — Independence Day Celebration

Free: 5-10 p.m., Thursday, July 4, 2024

Join your neighbors and friends at the annual Independence Day Celebration “Ignite the Night,” the July 4th event at Samuel J. Ferreri Community Park, 2905 Jog Road, Greenacres, from 5:30 to 10 p.m.

It is a patriotic, family-friendly celebration featuring live music entertainment and a spectacular fireworks display. General admission is free; wristbands and tickets for rides, inflatables and face painting, etc. $10.

Lake Worth Beach

Thursday, July 4, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., at Bryant Park

The 4th of July Celebration in Lake Worth Beach kicks off with the Raft Parade at 10 a.m., followed by the Great American Raft Race at noon.

Schedule for other activities:

  • Live Music: DJ Mike Locke starts the party at 5 p.m.
  • Matthew Curry Band takes the stage at 5:30 p.m.
  • Groove Infusion Band keeps the energy going at 7:30 p.m.
  • Car Show, Craft Vendors, and Food Court
  • Fireworks light up the night sky 

Remember to head to Bryant Park, 407 S. Lakeside Drive for all the festivities.

4th of July Y2K Party, Thursday, July 4, 2024, 8 p.m.-1 a.m.

Bay Side Records in Lake Worth Beach is turning back the clock and encouraging attendees to dress in their best 2000’s fashion to travel back to the millennium.
 
Event is free to all & all over the age of 21 are welcome. IDs will be checked to get in. Doors open at 8 p.m.Listen to the vibe of your favorite 2000’s hits with DJ Nia Nova spinning from 9 to 11 p.m.; live performances will run from 11 p.m. till 1 a.m.
 

Lantana

The Town of Lantana Annual Independence Day Celebration will take place on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Bicentennial Park, 321 E. Ocean Ave., from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. It's Free!

Live concert featuring: “Nikki Kid and the Collective.” Fireworks display set for 9:05 p.m. Food & Craft Vendors, Stilt Walker, Family Games, and the Most Patriotic Baby Contest will take place throughout the event. Please take your chairs and blankets.

North Palm Beach

July 4th Celebration

Everyone is invited to celebrate the Fourth of July with the Village of North Palm Beach at the North Palm Beach Country Club, 951 US-1, North Palm Beach. Fireworks about 9 p.m.

Take lawn chairs and blankets and join your neighbors this year for a fantastic fireworks display. Call the Recreation Department at 561-841-3386 if you have questions.
 
If bad weather forces a cancellation of the show, check the Village website for updates.

 Note:

  • Please: No personal fireworks, and dogs must remain leashed at all times.
  • Parking is limited on a first-come, first-served basis, with no valet parking.

Village of Palm Springs

July 4th event: Sweet Land of Liberty
Celebrate Independence Day on Thursday, July 4, 2024, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. with the Village of Palm Springs. 

  • At 5:30 p.m.: DJ Mike Locke kicks off the party, followed by the Matthew Curry Band at 6:30 p.m.
  • Craft vendors, a kids area, a food court and lively spirits
  • At 9 p.m.: Fireworks show!

Fourth of July Celebration

If you’re looking for family-friendly 4th of July entertainment this year, look no further than the Village of Wellington! Features include inflatables, games, petting zoo and mush more.

  • Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Village Park – entrance at 11700 Pierson Road, Wellington.
  • Entertainment & Activities 6 to 9 p.m.
  • NEW: High-flying Aerial Trapeze Academy at 7: 15 p.m.
  • Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m.

West Palm Beach

The 4th on Flagler

The 4th on Flagler fireworks extravaganza returns to downtown West Palm Beach on Thursday, July 4, from 6 to 10 p.m. along Flagler Drive, between Banyan Boulevard and Fern Street.

This event will feature live entertainment (music on three stages), a Military Honor Ceremony, family activities, roving entertainment (such as stilt walkers), food and refreshments for purchase, plus an 18-minute fireworks show over the Intracoastal Waterway.

Fireworks will ignite at 9:09 p.m. Guests are welcome to bring their own chairs and blankets and find a spot on the lawn. The event is free, and parking is available in city garages.

Those who prefer to watch the show from the comfort of their home can tune in to a live broadcast. Viewers can watch remotely by tuning into WBPF’s live special broadcast 9-9:30 p.m.
