Florida Freedom Week Tax-Free event for recreation & tickets

Florida shoppers, rev up your wallets for a tax-free shopping spree.  For Freedom Week in Florida, eligible outdoor and recreation items and  entry to eligible venues and events are exempt from usual Florida state sales tax. You'll save at least 6 percent on qualifying purchases.

 Freedom Week in 2022 is July 1 – July 7 for  tax-free shopping on eligible items in Florida.

The Freedom Week tax-free event includes

  • tickets for events & attractions including festivals, theater and sports
  • equipment for water fun
  • pool supplies.
  • sunscreen
  • flashlights
  • kayaks, paddleboards and surfboards
  • lots of others

For some items, such as sunglasses, a portion of the purchase price is exempt from sales tax. For sunglasses, up to $100 of the total price is exempt from sales tax.
