Florida sales taxes are 6 percent, or $6 per $100 purchase. Regular state sales taxes on a $1,000 purchase are $60. Some regions levy local taxes, which likely are also withheld.

Sales taxes are waived in 2024 to June 30 for eligible energy-efficient Energy Star appliances, including refrigerators and water heaters, information is online.
