Skip the sales tax. Florida offers an opportunity to save on eligible purchases during shopping events when sales taxes are waived for specific items, from diapers to energy efficient refrigerators.
Florida sales taxes are 6 percent, or $6 per $100 purchase, and some regions also levy local taxes, which likely are also withheld.
For tax-free shopping, some eligible items are fully tax free. Others feature taxes waived on a portion of the price.
