Florida waives taxes for eligible tools

Purchase eligible items and skip paying the sales tax. Florida offers an opportunity to save on eligible purchases during shopping events when state sales taxes are waived for specific items, including tools.

Florida sales taxes are 6 percent, or $6 per $100 purchase. Regular state sales taxes on a $1,000 purchase are $60. Some regions levy local taxes, which likely are also withheld.

Eligible items with no sales tax are usually within designated price points.
