Free Sistrunk Festival includes a parade, entertainment & kids zone
Floats, twirlers, and dancers are among entertainment featured in the Sistrunk Parade and Festival in Fort Lauderdale.
Sistrunk Parade and Festival in 2026 is 8:30 a.m. Saturday, February 28, for the parade and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. for the festival. Entry to the festivities is free.
The event is in association with Black History Month.
Sistrunk Parade and Festival in Fort Lauderdale events
The parade starts at 8:30 a.m. on Sistrunk Boulevard from Northwest 17th Avenue to Northwest 10th Avenue. The parade includes vintage vehicles, step teams and floats.
The street festival is 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sistrunk Boulevard, Northwest Ninth Avenue to Northwest 14th Terrace. It will include vendors, a kids' zone and food for purchase.
Performers of live music include:
- 4 p.m. Larry Dogg Band
- 5:15 p.m. Dwight Moment and Symphony
- 7 p.m. KeKe Wyatt
