Miami Beach Family Day has multiple activities for all ages

Here's a citywide event with numerous activities happening at a variety of sites that has something for all ages. You get to choose which ones interest you and they are all free for Miami Beach residents.

  • When: Saturday, March 29, 2025, starting at 10 a.m. 
  • Where: Various locations on Miami Beach

10 to 11 a.m.: Start your Saturday with Miami City Ballet's Explore Dance Community Class, a lively, all-ages, guided movement class with no experience needed. Address: 2100 Collins Ave., Miami Beach, FL 33140.

11 a.m. to noon: Miami Beach OnStage! presents Pablo Cano's Musical Marionettes with artist Pablo Cano and opera singer Maria Elena Vallejo in person at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden, 2000 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, FL 33139.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Strut down Ocean Drive with your beloved pets in South Beach's first ever Pet Parade, hosted by NBC Dog Show announcer and Miami Beach resident Wayne Ferguson at Lummus Park and 14th Place.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: The Bass Museum of Art will open two hours early and activate its drop-in art studio, The Creativity Center, for art-making activities, design challenges, and more, at 2100 Collins Ave., Miami Beach, FL 33139.

11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: The Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU will host History Harvest, where visitors can bring any family history they have or want to share to take part in the tradition of exchanging oral histories. Address: 301 Washington Ave., Miami Beach, FL 33139.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: The Miami Beach Botanical Garden will feature work from talented students of all ages. These students will showcase their passion for nature through art installations and environmental projects. Address: 2000 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, FL 331399.

10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Miami Beach Pride Festival invites families — and their furry friends — for a fun day at the 2025 Miami Beach Pride Family Picnic! Pride Park will have bounce houses, outdoor games, crafts and character meet and greets. Address: 1809 Meridian Ave., Miami Beach, FL 33139.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Miami Beach Urban Studios welcomes participants of all ages for activations at its galleries. At the FIU Miami Beach Visual Arts Gallery, young filmmakers will learn how to design and build miniature sets using cardboard and families can see the exhibition, “Wandering Strangers” and leave with a ready-to-film set. Address: 420 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach, FL 33139.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Moonlighter Fablab presents BATHGATE: The Machinist Sculptor, an exhibition exploring form, function, the industrial and the handmade. Inspired by the exhibition, participants will use tools and resources to design and build cardboard structures. Address: 1661 Pennsylvania Ave., Miami Beach, FL 33139.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: The Wolfsonian–Florida International University will feature Harry Clarke’s stained-glass masterpiece called the Geneva Window. In honor of the installation, the facility will present a glass-inspired activity with shatterproof materials that attendees can take home. Address: 1001 Washington Ave., Miami Beach, FL 33139.

Noon to 3 p.m.: At Lincoln Road families can enjoy a fun day with Free Miniature Golf. Children 10 and under can learn how to ride a bike from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Euclid Oval. Address: 660 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach, FL 33139.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: O, Miami will host a friendly workshop for beginners on basic Flower Pressing techniques with an accompanying poetry lesson combining art, nature and mental health at the Miami Beach Regional Library's YOUMake Space, at 227 22nd St., Miami Beach, FL 33139.

Additionally, from 6 to 10 p.m.: The Miami Beach Bandshell/Rhythm Foundation will host All Skates Go To Heaven. Free skate rentals available for city residents and $10 for non-residents. All ages and skate abilities are welcome! Non-skaters can enjoy the tunes from the deck.
