High school bands, dance troupes, and floats are featured in a parade for the 100th anniversary of the Liberia neighborhood in Hollywood.
The parade in 2023 is 10 a.m. November 4, with a Fun Day 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at MLK Jr. recreation facilities.
Liberia 100 Events include
- 6 p.m. November 3 with film and panel discussion at Attucks Middle School, 3500 N. 22nd Avenue, Hollywood. Entry is free
- 10 a.m. November 4 parade. Boulevard and Meade Street, west on Atlanta Street to NW 24th Avenue, north to MLK Jr. recreation
- 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. November 4 at MLK Jr. recreation with bounce houses, face painting, and entertainment on the lawn. Food is offered for purchase. Entry is free. The venue is at 2400 Charleston Street.
- Banquet Tickets $50
- non-denominational church event 8 a.m. November 5 at Attucks Middle School
