How to celebrate ‘Kids to Parks Day’ in Miami-Dade

The National Park Trust‘s annual Kids to Parks Day, created to encourage families to explore the great outdoors, happens yearly on the third Saturday in May.

On Saturday, May 16, 2026, spend the day at local, state, and national parks and public lands at park events that promote discovery and exploration in the great outdoors. The National Park Trust encourages Kids to Parks Day organizers to host an event in a local park or encouraging your town to proclaim the day!

As part of the day, you can visit Venetian Pool in Coral Gables at 9:30 a.m. and partake in a free one-day Red Cross swim lesson hosted by the Venetian Aquatic Pool. Click here for details.
