Hurricane season has begun and doesn't end until Nov. 30 so now is the ideal time to prepare before we are in the throes of intense activity.
In an effort to help South Floridians prepare, Farm Share and Global Empowerment Mission are hosting their third annual Statewide Hurricane Emergency Preparedness Drives with several sites in Miami-Dade and Broward County and one in Palm Beach. They run from 9 a.m. to noon (until supplies last), on Saturday, June 6 and at one location on Sunday, June 7. Early arrival is strongly suggested/encouraged.

They will be handing out:
- Emergency Blankets
- Flashlights/headlamp
- MREs (Meals Ready to Eat)
- Dignity kits
- Hydration Powder
- Candles
- Laundry Pouch
- Rain Poncho
- Dog food
