Free Haitian Heritage Month events in North Miami and Little Haiti

Available May 16 only: Free tickets to May 17 Miami Marlins baseball game vs. Washington Nationals at LoanDepot at 6:40 p.m. Get to the North Miami Library, 835 NE 132 St. before 7:30 p.m. to claim your free ticket courtesy of the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce. First come first serve basis.

Explore Haitian Heritage Month events throughout the City of North Miami including an exhibition and mini expo, Haitian Flag Day celebration, Konpas Classes and storytime for kids. Read on to find info on the events throughout May.

Exhibition at Scott Galvin Community Center

On view through May 31, the complimentary exhibition and mini expo entitled “Haiti: Imperishable. Ayiti: Pap Peri” showcasing contemporary art pieces made from recycled materials. 1600 NE 126 St.

Haitian Heritage Month Guest Storytime

Storytime hosted by a special guest every Wednesday during the commemorative month. Guest readers will read a children's book written by a Haitian author or a story relating to Haitian heritage and culture.
