The Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum is continuing to waive general admission fees and opening its doors to the public on the first Saturday of the month, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Families can peruse the exhibits, but also enjoy a fun craft-based activity from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
General admission at other times is $12 per adult, plus discounts for seniors and kids.
Permanent exhibits include the following:
- Local history of Addison Mizner
- Boca Raton Pioneer Era
- Historical home of IBM
- World War II in Boca Raton

The museum also hosts various temporary traveling exhibits. Be sure to look for Johnny Mizner's picture among the exhibits throughout the Museum (Johnny was Addison Mizner's pet monkey).
The Museum is located at 71 N. Federal Highway, Boca Raton.
The Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum is the home of the Boca Raton Historical Society, whose mission is to collect, preserve, and present information and artifacts relevant to the past and evolving history of Boca Raton and to maintain a visible role in the education and the advocacy of historic preservation in the community.
