Free Friday Night Sound Waves, vendors and festivals at Oceanside Park in Fort Lauderdale

With the surf and ocean air offering delightful ambience, live bands offer free entertainment at Las Olas Oceanside Park in Fort Lauderdale throughout the year.

Sound Waves

The popular Friday Night Sound Waves free concerts are 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The schedule includes:

  • Oct. 24: Life in Technicolor – A Tribute to Coldplay
  • Oct. 31: Still Standing – A Tribute to Elton John
  • Nov. 7: Planet Duran – A Tribute to Duran Duran
  • Nov. 14: Touch & Go – A Tribute to The Cars
  • Nov. 21: True Rumours – A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac
  • Nov. 28: Love Story – A Tribute to Taylor Swift
  • Dec. 5: Heart of Glass & Subliminal Doubt – Tributes to Blondie and No Doubt
  • Dec. 12: Livin’ on a Prayer – A Tribute to Bon Jovi
  • Dec. 19: Man in the Mirror – A Tribute to Michael Jackson

The MKT at Las Olas Oceanside Park

The MKT  is usually open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and  10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays, with free entry. Verify hours on the MKT website, because they change based on the season.

Extra activities and entertainment are occasionally featured.  Yoga is often offered, sometimes free and sometimes for an extra fee.

Venue & Parking information

Las Olas Oceanside Park is at  3000 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale 33316.

Parking is offered at lots and at Las Olas Beach Parking Garage, 200 Las Olas Circle, Fort Lauderdale 33316. Parking fees at the garage are usually $4 an hour.
