Labor Day weekend: Free entry for festival in Fort Lauderdale

Hey festival enthusiasts, Fort Lauderdale is featuring a Labor Day weekend fest with water slides, vehicles on display, and other fun and entertainment for kids and adults.

The festival is 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. September 3 at North Beach Restaurants and Shoppes, A1A and Oakland Park Boulevard. Entry and activities are free.

Live entertainment includes Skinny Jimmy Stingray, surf instrumental 1 p.m. 4:30 p.m.; Studio 54, 70s and 80s favorites 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Queen of Kings, retro disco funk.
