Steel drumming and other island rhythms are featured at the festival 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 6, in Sunrise and entry is free.

Taste of the Islands
Taste of the Islands in Miramar is 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 13, and entry is free.
The event features Caribbean food and beverages for purchase.
The venue is City Hall Plaza, 2300 Civic Center Place, Miramar. Parking is free.

Caribbean Heritage festival in Pembroke Pines
Island vibes, island flavors and island rhythms are featured at the festival 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, June 27, in Pembroke Pines. Groove to kompa, reggae and other saucy genres.
The Caribbean Heritage festival includes:

Caribbean American Heritage Weekend in Fort Lauderdale
Las Olas Oceanside Park is celebrating Caribbean American Heritage Weekend June 13-14 with food, live music, kids' activities and more from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entry is free.
Here is the schedule:
- Saturday, June 13: Live music by Sabor Latino, sharing Puerto Rican sounds. There will also be a community beach clean-up.
- Sunday, June 14: Green House Band, with reggae favorites and Jamaican vibes.
Las Olas Oceanside Park is at 3000 E. Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale.
Fees for parking apply. Parking information is available online. Parking in the area includes Las Olas Beach Parking Garage, 200 Las Olas Circle, with a PayByPhone payment option using the PayByPhone APP. Parking fees usually are $4 an hour.
