Free art and tech classes at Churchill's Pub in Little Haiti

Best known as being one of Miami's most beloved live music venues that recently came back from a long closure, Churchill's Pub in Little Haiti probably seems like the unlikeliest place for free art and tech classes. But indeed, it is so.

MyFi Studio, an artist duo that build instruments and computer systems, are hosting two days of what they're calling "How to Play Computer" classes at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, July 29 and Aug. 5, at Churchill's Pub, 5501 NE 2 Ave., Miami. The classes are free but RSVP is required.

On July 29 they're teaching "How to Build Wah Pedals," a foot-controlled filter effect for electric guitars, and on Aug. 5 you can learn about "Feedback Loops," where the output of system circles back as input. These classes are tailor-made for music lovers and creatives.
