The facility is usually open Saturdays from about dusk until about 11 p.m, weather permitting, and representatives of South Florida Amateur Astronomers Association are on site to point out planets and other galactic features.

It's a fun idea for a date, a family excursion or a solo adventure.

Entry into the park on weekends is free after dusk. If you enter the park prior to sunset, the weekend and holidays entry fee is $3 per vehicle for up to 8 people.

When you're inside the park, entry to Fox Observatory is free, with donations accepted.  Phone the park, 954-357-8868, prior to venturing out to ensure the observatory is open.
