Enter drawing for discounted ‘Annie’ tickets

Want an opportunity to purchase discounted theater tickets for an exciting touring performance in South Florida? Of course you do!

Now, you can enter a free drawing online for the chance to purchase up to two tickets for a reduced fee of $36 to select performances of the musical “Annie” at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale. The musical, recommended for ages 6 and up, celebrates the optimism of the plucky Orphan Annie.

Performances are October 10-22, 2023, with both matinee and evening performances. Regular prices are $45 to $116, plus fees. So $36 (including fees) is a great deal. When we have won these drawings, we ended up with orchestra seats.

For performances October 10-15, you must enter by 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 6.

For performances October 17-22, you must enter by 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 13.

Not everyone will win. But we think there is enough chance to win that it’s worth doing. We have seen quite a few Broward Center shows at a discount this way.

Here is how you can win the chance to buy $36 tickets.

  • Create a Lucky Seats account. If you already have one, skip this step.
  • Choose the event you want to try to see.
  • Choose the performances for which you want to try to win tickets. A separate drawing is held for each performance.
  • Watch your email or text (you are usually notified both ways if you provide that information) starting October 6, or October 13, at 11 a.m. to see if you won. There will be a deadline to purchase the tickets, and it is usually the day you are notified. You can also go online to check your results.
  • On the day of performance, bring your confirmation to the box office on your phone or one paper to buy your tickets. You must show ID and the tickets are not transferable to another person.
