Doc Reno’s 9th Annual Bacon, Beer & BBQ Fest free in Margate
Doc Reno’s ninth annual Bacon, Beer & BBQ Fest will serve up an afternoon of free live music and a culinary showdown on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at the Margate Sports Complex. Admission is free.
BBQ Competition & Food Vendors
The main event at the festival is the competition to determine who will win the “Best Bacon” and “Best BBQ” awards in South Florida. Local restaurants and food trucks will go head-to-head, preparing their signature smoked meats and bacon-infused creations.
Attendees can taste their creations and cast a vote for the People’s Choice winner. Food and drink will be available for sale all day, including from the competitors.
The event will also include an afternoon of live music, arts and crafts, kids' activities and a silent auction.
Live Music Schedule
This is the music schedule:
- 12 to 1 p.m. Crazy Talk (rock and pop covers)
- 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Southern Stampede (country rock)
- 3 to 4:30 p.m. Juanabe ('80s rock)
DJ TaeRock will spin tracks between sets, and students will the School of Rock will do pop-up performances. .
Arts, Crafts & Kids' Activities
Beyond the food truck lineup, visitors can explore an artisan market featuring local vendors with handmade goods. There also will be a section for children's activities, as well as a silent auction.
The awards' ceremony and raffle drawings will start at 4:30 p.m.
Event Logistics & Parking Tips
- The Margate Sports Complex has multiple free parking lots.
- The main music stage, artisan expo and food stations are under a massive covered sports pavilion. The event is rain or shine.
- Pets are welcome at the venue.
