Where to watch the solar eclipse in Dade, Broward & Palm Beach counties

Several venues in South Florida are offering watch festivities for the solar eclipse.

A solar eclipse is about 1:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. April 8, 2024, and spectators should ensure they are using proper eye protection.

The eclipse occurs when the path of the moon temporarily blocks visibility of the sun.
