Vocalist & violinist Nicole Yarling featured at ‘Black Lives’ event in Fort Lauderdale

Performers from diverse backgrounds are featured at a free program focusing on Black string playing featuring vocalist and violinist Nicole Yarling at a library in Fort Lauderdale.

A Matter of Black Lives in 2024 is 3 p.m. Saturday March 2, and entry requires online registration.

The event is described as “Black string playing from a historical perspective through narration, imagery, music and dance.”  The event includes West African origins to Hip Hop. 

The venue is the African American Research Library, 954-357-6282, 2650 Sistrunk Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale 33311. Parking is free.
