Festivals & events in January in Broward

Plenty of interesting and entertaining things to do in January are featured in Broward. Lots of events are free or inexpensive.

Las Olas Art Fair

The trendy and ritzy shopping Las Olas shopping district is the venue for the Las Olas Art Fair in Fort Lauderdale Saturday and Sunday, January 4 and 5, with free entry and exhibits by dozens of artists from around the nation.

Perhaps you'll walk over Riverwalk January 5 for Jazz Brunch with free live entertainment along the waterfront promenade.

Entry to the events is free. Parking is about $3 an hour.

West Hollywood Salsa Fest

Salsa beats delight fans at West Hollywood Salsa Fest 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, January 4, featuring  Melina Almodovar and Orquestra. Entry is free. It's at Boulevard Heights Amphitheater, 6770 Garfield Street, Hollywood 33020.

Riverwalk Seafood Festival

Vendors selling seafood items, including at least 1 dish for $5, are featured at Riverwalk Stone Crab and Seafood Festival 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, January 4. Entry is free. Food is offered for purchase.

VIP tasting tickets offer beers and liquors for ages 21 and older, tasting includes products from local distilleries and breweries; the fee for tickets  is $27.24 if purchased by January 3 online

Taste of Dania

The Taste of Dania street fair features entertainment, a kids area, and food vendors.

Entry is free. A tasting wristband for access to tastings from select restaurants and food vendors is available for about $42.

The event is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 100 W. Dania Beach Boulevard. Pets are permitted and parking is free.

Nautical Flea Market

The Nautical Flea Market in Pompano Beach includes boating items, beach attire, boat shoes, jewelry, art, and entertainment. If you'd like to nibble, food vendors are at the event.

The Nautical Flea Market in 2025 is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, January 18, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, January 19, with entry fee of $5 and free for kids 12 and younger.

The venue is Pompano Beach Community Park, 820 NE 18th Avenue.

Weston Safety Expo

For a family excursion, the Weston Safety Expo includes entertainment with a DJ, bouncing on inflatables, and displays of law enforcement vehicles. The event is 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, January 24, at Weston Regional Park. Entry and parking are free. Food vendors offer something to eat for purchase.

Pompano Jazz Fest

Jazz Fest Pompano Beach in 2025 is Friday and Saturday, January 24-25, with some performances at the beach. Grammy winners, food vendors and art vendors are featured at the events. Entry is free, and registration online is requested.

DoggiePalooza

DoggiePalooza for people and pets is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, January 25, at Happy Tails Dog Park, 6600 SW 16th Street, Plantation 33317.  Parking is free. Entry is $2 per person.

My Hollywood Pride

The street festival is Sunday, January 26, on Hollywood Boulevard in downtown Hollywood. Entry is free.

Rhythm by the River Festival

Rhythm by the River Black Voices Festival features games, workshops and performances. Food and drinks are offered for purchase. The event is at Esplanade Park, 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 400 SW Second Street, Fort Lauderdale 33312. Entry is free. Parking is about $3 an hour.

Fort Lauderdale Home Design & Remodeling Show

The Fort Lauderdale Home Design & Remodeling Show features tons of exhibitors offering products and ideas for home improvement and home building. The event is January 31-February 2 and opportunities for 2-for-1 tickets are available while the promotion is offered. Deal price is $17, with tax and fee, for 2 tickets.

Free events with live entertainment

South Florida Folk & Acoustic Festival

The festival is January 31 through February 2 with live entertainment, workshops  and other events at Bergeron Rodeo, 4201 SW 65th Way, Davie. Discount opportunities are offered, including discounts for tickets purchased before the event.
