Teens work out for free all summer at Planet Fitness in 2025

Grab your workout gear and water bottle! Summer’s the time to sweat it out and get fit. And, this summer, Planet Fitness is making exercising more affordable for families with teens.

The popular fitness center is bringing back its High School Summer Pass program, inviting high school teens ages 14 to 19 to work out for FREE at any of its more than 2,700+ Planet Fitness locations across the U.S. and Canada.

The program runs from June 1 to Aug. 31, 2025.

Since the High School Summer Pass program began, Planet Fitness has invested more than $300 million in waived membership dues to promote youth health and wellness and improve the physical and mental health of millions of teens. 

All High School Summer Pass participants will have access to the following:

  • A complete range of strength equipment, including new plate-loaded machines, best-in-class cardio equipment, stretching space and more.
  • FREE fitness training from certified fitness trainers.
  • Teen-specific workout plans designed to build strength safely and effectively.
  • The FREE Planet Fitness App featuring hundreds of on-demand digital exercises.
  • A welcoming, non-intimidating community environment.

Here’s how the High School Summer Pass works:

Pre-Register

Get a head start on your summer fitness program by pre-registering.

Download the PF App

Create an account using the same e-mail you used to register and explore all the FREE PF App has to offer before your digital club pass becomes available on June 1, 2025. 

Get Ready to Move

Use your in-app digital club pass to work out at your home club for FREE from June 1 to Aug. 31, 2025. (Teens can only work out at the Planet Fitness location where they signed up.)

Teens under the age of 18 must register with a parent or guardian. However, once completely registered (including signing the waiver), teens can work out alone.
