St. Patrick’s Day happenings in Palm Beach County

St. Patrick's Day, 2024, is Sunday, March 17, and many Palm Beach County venues are gearing up for the big day. From green cocktails to green beer to traditional St. Patrick's Day fare, you are sure to find what you're looking for. Note that events are happening as early as March 9.

Here is a list of some of the free and cheap festivities we found:

Community events

Delray Beach

• Parade: Saturday, March 16, 2024, from noon to 2 p.m.
• Festival: Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 1 to 5 p.m.

Free community parade and festivities, downtown Delray Beach. Website: stpatsdelray.com.

Jupiter

Saturday, March 9, and Sunday, March 10, 2024, is the Jupiter Irish Fest, a day of Irish music, food, drink, dancing and fun at Abacoa in Jupiter.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The event will include music, pipes and drums, Irish dancers, whiskey tasting, pint-pulling and more. The family-friendly event will be mostly outdoors.

Wellington

St. Patrick's Day Party for the 50+ crowd:

• When: Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
• Where: Wellington Community Center, 12150 Forest Hill Blvd.

Lunch will be provided along with entertainment and activities.

Boca Raton

Evidently there is a clan of leprechauns who believe there is a proper way to celebrate the wearing of the green, and now you can too at: Proper St. Paddy's Day.

• When: Sunday, March 17, 2024, from noon to 10 p.m.
• Where: Mizner Park, 590 Plaza Real, Boca Raton.

Get ready for a shamrock extravaganza to celebrate Irish heritage. Best of all, it’s open to all ages and FREE to attend. Food and beverage prices vary.
