South Beach Film Festival offers free films and 10 films for $20

Calling all cinephiles to South Beach through Sunday, May 17 where you can take in all the films your heart desires during the South Beach Film Festival, featuring documentaries, shorts and feature films in all genres including several LGBTQ offerings.

Screenings take place at various locations around Miami Beach.

Here is the schedule:

Thursday, May 14 at Marseilles Hotel, 1741 Collins Ave. $20 for 10 films

A full day of shorts and documentaries screened until 4:30 p.m. Most of the day is filled with short films with two documentaries showing in the late afternoon. Click here to view the lineup.

Friday, May 15:

At Collins Park Rotunda, 2100 Collins Ave. Free screenings

12:30 p.m.: “An Ordinary Couple,” an LGBTQ documentary chronicling a gay couple's life as they face challenges faced by the AIDS epidemic and fight against Prop 8. 

2:30 p.m.: “Hollywood Babylon,” documentary by Damien Chazelle's on the scandals that rocked Hollywood in the 1920s.

At Twisted Tonic, 723 Lincoln Ln. $10 for both films

8 p.m.: “Inside the Oasis: The Story of South Florida's Gay Mecca” documentary about the evolution of Broward County's gay community from the 1950s to now.

10 p.m.: “Our Family Pride,” feature film about a married man with three children who reveals his true identity to his wife and children and begins life as his true self.

Saturday, May 16 at Twisted Toni, 723 Lincoln Ln. $20 for both films

7-7:40 p.m.: Screening of a trio of music videos “Kelly by Trapp Tarell,” “The Patina Turners – Red Tide,” and “Kremlin Wall.”

8 p.m.: “Murder Gardens 2,” a crime thriller about brotherhood, consequences and unfinished business.
