‘Ice’ rink offered at Las Olas Oceanside Park, including holidays

For fans of ice skating, Las Olas Oceanside Park in Fort Lauderdale is featuring a synthetic ice rink amid the palm trees as part of its Wonderland holiday events and attractions.

The Wonderland events are November 13, 2023, through January 1, 2024, with many for free. . 

Fees apply for The Rink, which is touted as offering a smooth surface similar to regular ice rinks. Skates are included in the fee. Users need to provide a waiver. The rink is open until January 1, including holidays.

Fees

Reservations and tickets for the skating rink are  online.  

  • $20 for ages 18 and older
  • ages 13 – 17, $18
  • ages 6 – 12, $15

On top of those prices is a $2.50 extra fee.

  • Theme skate events for ages 21 and older are $25 and $30, events with DJ  entertainment are 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays.

  • Seniors 55 and older, $10 for 30 minutes at 2:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays
  • Lil Ones deal for a parent and kid ages 3 to 5, $15 for 30 minutes 2:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • Deal on Mondays for college students with ID. Buy 1 ticket and receive a second ticket for 50% off

Kids 6 to 12 need to be skating with a parent or guardian. 

The rink is open daily from November 13 through January 1, 2024. Hours are

  • Monday through Thursday, 2:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. (special sessions from 2:30 to 3 p.m.)
  • Wednesday and Saturday: 21 and older from 7 to 10 p.m.
  • Friday: Noon to 10 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Holiday hours may vary

10 a.m. – 5 p.m. December 24
3 p.m. – 10 p.m. December 25
10 a.m. – 4 p.m. December 31

12 p.m. – 10 p.m. January 1

  • Thanksgiving 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. with arrival required by 2 p.m. November 23, with fees of $20 for ages 18 and older, $18 for ages 13 – 17, and $15 for ages 6 – 12
