National Cinema Day: Aug. 27 movie tickets for $4

Would you like to see the Barbie movie or the original Jurassic Park in 3D for just $4?

Well, if you've been postponing going to see that blockbuster movie, you might want to consider closing the deal on Sunday, Aug. 27, 2023. That's the day — the only day — that most of the major theater chains in South Florida will be offering discounted tickets for every movie, every showtime, in every format because it is National Cinema Day.

One day only Sept 3, offers $3 movies for National Cinema Day

The Cinema Foundation is sponsoring this national discount day to entice movie lovers back into theaters to watch their favorite flicks on the big screen. It's a great time to catch a double feature with the whole family. Plus, moviegoers on that day can get a glimpse of the major studios' fall lineups. A sneak peek of anticipated autumn releases will play before each screening.

The $4 ticket price does not include taxes or booking fees and is only available at participating theaters.

The list of nationwide chains includes Regal, AMC, Paragon, Cinemark, and more. If you don't find the film you want to see at one of the national chains, don't forget to check out the smaller, family-owned or independent movie theaters, too.

If you want to take advantage of this deal, here's the best link to find a participating theater near you: nationalcinemaday.org.
