Miami Hotels for Shoppers

Shopaholics rejoice! Shopping in Miami is serious business. Tourists from all corners of the globe flock to this town to catch a little sun and sand between shopping sprees. Designer brands that are often triple the cost back home or that sometimes cannot be found at all, beckon tourists with deep discounts and major sales events at local outlets department stores and vibrant neighborhood malls. So what is a tourist to do when the beach is not always close to the shopping destination of choice? Stay at a hotel nearby, of course. Shop till you drop into your comfy hotel bed and start all over the next morning, the beach is not going anywhere, after all, but that Michael Kors handbag on sale will not be there forever. We have compiled a list of conveniently located and reasonably priced Miami hotels for shoppers. Check it out below:

 

Aventura Mall & North Miami

Easily worth two full days of shopping, this vibrant and eclectic mall really has it all, from budget to moderate to luxury shopping: Sears and JC Penney's, Louis Vuitton and Nordstroms plus two separate multistory sections of “Affordable Luxury” at Macy's, not to mention many independently owned smaller shops and specialty carts that add to the allure here. There is a fabulous food court and some excellent restaurants as well to take a break and fuel up for more bargain hunting. So where to stay when shopping at Aventura and the North Miami area? Budget choices are somewhat limited in the neighborhood but we managed to find a few options. Alternatives are to stay further South on Miami Beach and hop on the 120 Express or S bus lines to get to the Mall. Check out our suggestions below:

Dadeland Mall

South Beach

It is of course entirely possible to not leave South Beach and still get plenty of shopping into your day. Just steps away from the gleaming sea and sand lies Lincoln Road mall and also The Collins Avenue retail district. These hotels will keep you in the thick of things:

The Albion

1939 Maritime inspired Art Deco hotel in a central location at the southern stretch of Lincoln Road Mall, where shopping is plentiful. It is also situated just one and a half block from the beach and within easy reach of other shopping areas via bus lines 120 Express and the S both of which take you to  Aventura Mall. You can also hop on the Airport Flyer line here. This is a great choice if you like being in the thick of things and not dealing with cars and expensive parking, Rates can be as low as 99.00./night for their “petite”rooms and 129 for a Deluxe room. Find out more… 

Crest Hotel Suites

Central to everything SOBE, this Art Deco Hotel offers convenience at a stellar location. Turn right at the corner upon exiting and you will be on Lincoln Road Mall, and block after block of shopping opportunities. Turn left and in 2 minutes you will hit the beach. Rooms at the Crest come with kitchenettes and free WiFi. There is a small pool to relax your muscles in, after a day of serious shopping, and an onsite restaurant. Hotel Shelley

Chic and affordable Art Deco hotel, located in the Collins and Washington Avenue shopping district. Steps from the beach as well as a few minutes from famous Lincoln Road Mall. The Shelley offers free airport shuttle, nightly happy hour and a convenient location to not only shopping but also famed nightclubs and restaurants. Kent Hotel

Situated 2 blocks from Collins Ave Shopping, 6 blocks from Lincoln Road Mall and 1 block from the beach. This classic Art Deco hotel offers you a central and convenient location, no need to get a car, you will be able to walk everywhere or take advantage of local shuttles to get around, to do you shopping, The Kent has well-appointed rooms with DVD players and 32” TV's.
