Memorial Day events & deals in Miami-Dade 2024

Picnics and BBQs. Parades and patriotic programs. Plenty of events honoring heroes in the Armed Forces are featured in Miami-Dade, Broward and greater Palm Beach Memorial Day weekend.

Restaurants and businesses are offering deals, some for everyone, and some exclusively for military and veterans. All events below take place on Monday, May 27, 2024.

Coral Gables

9 a.m. The City of Coral Gables hosts a Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony at War Memorial Youth Center, 405 University Dr. Light refreshments will be served. To RSVP, email SpecialEvents@CoralGables.com.

Hialeah

10 a.m. Memorial Day Ceremony hosted by City of Hialeah Mayor Esteban Bovo Jr. at Veterans Park, 290 Palm Ave.

Miami Beach

10 a.m. The City of Miami Beach, in partnership with the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars 3559 Miami Beach Post, pays tribute to the memory of the men and women who fought and died for freedom with a wreath-laying ceremony and 21-gun salute this Memorial Day. The ceremony will take place at the War Memorial Cenotaph in front of Miami Beach Police Headquarters, 1100 Washington Ave.

Miami Lakes

11 a.m. Memorial Day Ceremony at Mary Collins Community Center, 15151 NW 82 Ave.

Miami Shores

9 a.m. Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony honoring veterans at Memorial Park located at NE 94 St. and 2 Ave. 

North Miami

10 a.m. there will be a Memorial Day Service at North Miami Veterans Tower at Griffing Park 12220 Griffing Blvd. to pay tribute to the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Light refreshments will be served.

North Miami Beach

10 a.m. there will be a Memorial Day Service at Corporal Howard B. Hinson Park, located at 160th Street and Northeast 14th Avenue, to pay tribute to the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.
