Free Soulful holiday events & entertainment at African-American library in Fort Lauderdale

Treat yourself to free holiday festivities and live entertainment at Broward libraries.

 Many branch libraries offer free parking.  Some library events require registering online.

Holiday events in 2025 at libraries include

Soulful holiday shows and activities are at African American Research Library, 954-357-6282, 2650 Sistrunk Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale 33311.

Soulful Christmas events feature an emphasis on Black Christmas traditions and entertainment, including Gospel, R&B and Soul.

Holiday performances featuring Hued Songs:

• 7 p.m., Friday, December 12, Register online
• 12 p.m. Saturday, December 13, register online

Holiday Festivities are 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, December 13, with free entry. You can register online.

The event includes

• Delou Africa performance
• Line dancing with SuperSoul Steppers
