Free: Live music on The Lawn at CityPlace, through Jan. 4

For 2025, CityPlace continues the spirit of the season, even after Mr. & Mrs. Clause, all the elves, Rudolph and friends are preparing to head back to the North Pole.

Here's the schedule Thursday through Sunday:

  • Thursday, Dec. 25: Live music on the lawn from 5 to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 27: Live music noon-3 p.m.; Kwanzaa celebration, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.; an more live music 7-10 p.m.
  • Sunday, Dec. 28: Harriet Himmel Live Music Series with violinist Dave Damage, from 1 to 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Dec. 31: Live entertainment, afternoon & evening through midnight.

Note: Additionally, there will be live entertainment featured on The Lawn weekends, through Jan. 4, 2026.

Christmas Day Live Music

Celebrate the spirit of the holidays with live music performances at CityPlace on Christmas Day, Thursday, Dec. 25, 2025, from 5 to 9 p.m. It's free, family-friendly, and open to the public.

Kwanzaa: Afrique Ngozi Dance & Drums

Experience live West African dancing and drumming and other family fun activities on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Schedule:

  • 4:30-5:30 p.m. – Kwanzaa craft
  • 5:30-6 p.m. – Story Time
  • 6:00-6:30 p.m. – Performance

New Year’s Eve Live Music

The community is invited to close out the year with loved ones, surrounded by the sights and sounds of their favorite place with live music planned throughout the day. 

Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2024, will feature live entertainment, noon to 3 p.m.; 4 to 7 p.m.; and 8 p.m. through midnight.
