Hispanic Heritage Month events in Miami-Dade

Sept. 15 through Oct. 15 each year marks Hispanic Heritage Month and with Miami-Dade's population primarily of Hispanic decent, this month-long homage means there are plenty of HHM-themed events around.

Here's where to find them:

Miami Beach Salsa Fest
Saturday, Sept. 28 at 4 p.m.
Miami Beach Bandshell, 7275 Collins Ave.
It's the 10th Anniversary of the event at the Bandshell, a celebration to honor Hispanic Heritage Month. This year's event features Miami's Melina Almodóvar known”La Muñeca de la Salsa” performing. The event will also feature live DJ's free salsa lessons and Latin food for purchase. Click here to RSVP.
 
 
Miami Beach OnStage Hispanic Heritage Series
The month-long series features a Salsa Lovers Block Party on Sept. 19, performance by the group Son Lokos on Sept. 27, performance by solo artist Luis Bofil on Oct. 6 and performance by Danay Suarez on Oct. 13. Click here or the link above for full details, times and locations.

Embrace Tango offering a free class and social dance at the Euclid Oval on Lincoln Rd., Miami Beach. Sept. 29 from 4-8 p.m. Click here for full details.

19th Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration
Saturdays Sept. 28, Oct. 5 and Oct. 12 from 1-6 p.m.
Miami International Mall, 1455 NW 107 Ave.
Stroll through the mall and enjoy an artisan showcase and Hispanic-themed cultural and musical performances.

North Miami Beach Discovery Library and Amphitheatre, 1601 NE 164 St.
Hispanic Heritage Cultural Celebration with live music by Aymee Nuviola, Los 3 de La Habana, Miami Music, Cynthia D. Costa, Aurelio Espinoza Pantoja and an art exhibition of works by Hispanic artists including Rosa Henriquez.
