Gospel Explosion at park in Fort Lauderdale offers free entry

Gospel vocalists and other performers offer rich entertainment at Gospel Explosion at Joseph C. Carter Park in Fort Lauderdale.

The event for families in 2026 is 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, January 24,  at the park, 1450 West Sunrise Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311. Admission is free.

The Gospel Explosion, which is part of the MLK holiday events in Fort Lauderdale,  includes food vendors, bounce houses and performances by local Gospel music artists.

The headline performer for the Gospel Explosion is Jekayln Carr, a Grammy-winning national recording artist who launched her music career at age 15.
