Free tribute to Willy Chirino, Oct. 18, Miami

For 50 years, the music of Cuban-born, Grammy-winner and Miami sensation Willy Chirino has captivated audiences. This month, Miami-Dade College will recognize his contributions by hosting a tribute concert in his honor to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month.

Guest musicians performing a tribute to Willy Chirino’s legendary music will include Carlos Oliva, Lena Burke and Lucy Grau.

  • WHAT: MDC Wolfson Campus and MDC-TV host tribute to Willy Chirino.
  • WHEN: Wednesday, Oct. 18, from 7 to 9:30 p.m., is free and open to the public.
  • WHERE: MDC Wolfson Campus, Auditorium (Building 1, second floor), 300 NE 2nd Ave., downtown Miami. Parking is also free.
