Free & inexpensive festivals and events in March in Broward

If you like being out and about without spending a wad of dough, Broward offers plenty of free and inexpensive festivals, holiday events and live entertainment in March. Many are free.

Events include festivities for St. Patrick's Day and Easter, as well as festivals, art shows and free concerts, with many events to choose from every day

Las Olas Art Fair

The Las Olas Art Fair is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 1, on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. Entry is free. Parking is about $3 an hour.

World Fest

Free entry for World Fest in Weston

World Fest in Weston is a free event with international foods, art, and live entertainment. Weston World Fest is 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 1, and entry is free. International fare and drinks are offered for purchase from regional restaurants and other food vendors. The event is at Weston Regional Park,  20200 Saddle Club Road, Weston. Parking is free.

Blarney Bash

Blarney Bash with Irish food, beverages and entertainment is 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday, March 6, and entry is free.

The event includes:

  • food trucks and adult beverages for purchase for ages 21 and older.
  • The Byrne Br0thers.
  • Drake Irish Dance.

The venue is Coral Springs City Hall lawn, with free parking at the garage. The address is 9500 W. Sample Road.

Bring lawn seating and reusable water bottles. A water station is offered at the event.

Dania Beach Wine and Seafood Festival

Dania Beach Wine & Seafood Festival offers free entry

The Dania Beach Wine and Seafood Festival is 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 14, and entry is free. Live bands, artists and food for purchase are included in the festivities. For adult beverages, purchase a tasting ticket for $55 and $75 for VIP tickets.

The festival is at Dania Beach City Hall Plaza, 100 West Dania Beach Boulevard, Dania Beach 33004.  Free parking is offered at the Dania garage and other location, which includes free shuttles. Pets are permitted.

Water Matters Day

Free trees for Broward residents are offered at Water Matters Day in Davie. The event, which is open to the public, includes educational exhibits and vendors. The event is  8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at Tree Tops Park in Davie.  Entry into the park is $3 per vehicle with up to 8 people. Food trucks offers nibbles for purchase.  Tree Tops Park is at 3900 SW 100 Ave., Davie 33328.

Touch a Truck events

For kids and families, Touch A Truck events offer an opportunity to interact with parked vehicles and talk to the professionals who drive them. 

Touch A Truck in Plantation is 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 14,  and entry is free. The venue is Plantation Equestrian facilities, 954-476-4316, 1451 NW 118th Avenue, Plantation 33323.

St. Patrick's Day Parade & Festival in Fort Lauderdale

St. Patrick's Day Parade & Festival in Fort Lauderdale is 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 14, and entry is free. The festival is at Tunnel Top Plaza on Las Olas Boulevard and Southeast Sixth Avenue, Fort Lauderdale 33316

St. Patrick's Day Parade & Festival in Hollywood

St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival in Hollywood is 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 15, with a parade at 1 p.m., live Irish entertainment at 19th Avenue & Hollywood Boulevard, and activities for kids. The parade features the NYPD Emerald Society Pipe and Drum band.

Kite Festival

The Kite Festival is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at Miramar Regional Park,  16801 Miramar Parkway. Parking is free.

Palooza for Spring

Spring Palooza in Pompano Beach is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21, with free entry. The event includes  a petting zoo, rides, entertainment, food vendors, toddler zone  and art activities

The venue is Community Park, 1660 NE 10th Street, Pompano Beach 33060.

Riverwalk FTL

Mutts & Martinis in Fort Lauderdale on Riverwalk

Furry friends are the focus of an event on Riverwalk in Fort Lauderdale that features a doggie fashion show,  food trucks and vendors. 

Mutts & Martinis in 2026 is 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.  Saturday, March 21, at Esplanade Park, 400 SW Second Street, Fort Lauderdale 33312.

Regular entry is free. 

Food trucks offer snacks for purchase. A doggie peanut butter eating event is included in the festivities. Register for the peanut butter eating event and fashion show at the event or email at Events@GoRiverwalk.com. Animal rescue organizations are part of the event with their adoptable pets.

Parking is usually about $3 an hour. Parking fees & information is on the Fort Lauderdale website.

Dancing in the Street, Oakland Park

Slip into your dancing shoes for Dancing in The Street 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.  Friday, March 27 on Northeast 12th Avenue in Oakland Park. The block party is between Oakland Park Boulevard and Northeast 38th Street. Entry and parking are free.

The event offers food trucks, art, a kids zone and entertainment featuring a DJ and The Jam Band.

 Scottish Music Festival  is 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 28 in Davie.
