Free Family Fun Festival at Frost Science Museum

The Knight Plaza outdoor campus at downtown Miami's Frost Science Museum will come alive on Saturday, Feb. 3 with the first free Family Fun Festival happening from noon to 4 p.m.

Set among the lovely trees and bright garden like area of the museum, families are invited to come and enjoy the wonders of science from interactive exhibits from both the Frost Science and community partners to live shows and other entertainment. And if you choose to visit the museum's current traveling show and permanent exhibitions simply RSVP to the event and receive 25% off general admission on that day.

The line-up is extensive so browse the day's activities and prepare for tons of fun!

“Honey, I Shrunk the Science Show!” – 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m.
Main Stage
Experience super-sized science demonstrations during the “Honey, I Shrunk the Science Show!”

Live Performances by Junkanoo – 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m.
Throughout the Festival 
This Caribbean band’s performances feature handmade costumes, dancing, and music made by drums, cowbells, whistles and brass instruments.

In between shows and performances a DJ will also be spinning fun beats.

Experiment and play with a high-tech activity created by Frost Science’s Education team.

There will be cookies for sale and a fun activity sheet you can complete.

Answer a trivia question about Miami’s unique history and spin the wheel for a prize.

Get up close and personal with the inner workings of your body by exploring this larger-than-life, walk-through model of the human body.
