Free events in the Miami Design District

Walking through the Miami Design District is always a marvel for the eyes, given the shopping and entertainment district has become a haven for public art that's nestled within the high-end/luxury shopping destination.

Aside from the monthly public art tours, and ICA Miami the contemporary art museum with free admission and their weekly Sunday Family Day, there are also several free events hosted throughout the month.

Charles Etienne performs at Jungle Plaza in the Miami Design District on Feb. 1.

Here's what's coming up…

  • Sunday, Feb. 1 from 4-7 p.m., District Sounds: Carnival Edition featuring trumpet player Etienne Charles and Creole Soul, a performance of traditional Caribbean sights and sounds. Click here for full info of the show at Jungle Plaza.
  • Friday, Feb. 6 from 6-8 p.m., Performance by Miami's own duo AfroBeta who bring their blend of Afro-Caribbean rhythms to Jungle Plaza. Click here for full info.

We will update this post as other free events and performances are announced.
