Free events in Broward for FIFA world soccer fans

Enthusiastic soccer fans around the world delight in the FIFA world tournament. In Broward, Lauderhill is hosting events that fit right in with excitement about the sport. 

The FIFA world tournament is June 11 through July 19, 2o26, in Miami and other venues around the world. 

Lauderhill is hosting several events the weekend of June 6-7.

Free events in Lauderhill include 

3 p.m. to 11 p.m.  Saturday, June 6, at Lauderhill Sports facilities. The event includes activities, food trucks and performances by Jahshii and Laa Lee. The event is at 7500 W. Oakland Park Blvd., Lauderhill 33319. Soccer matches are at 6 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 9:15 p.m., which will be the featured match between Jamaica National U20 Team and the Haiti U20 Team.

Noon to 11 p.m. Sunday, June 7 at the Central Broward Park and Broward County Stadium, 3700 NW 11th Place, Lauderhill 33311. That event will include food trucks and vendors, plus:

• 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Youth soccer workshops for ages 3 to 16.  
• 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. soccer games, starting with Jamaica Masters vs. Haiti Masters at 5 p.m., C.A.S.A. All Stars vs. Haiti All Stars at 6:30, Jamaica U20 vs. Miami United at 8 p.m.
• 10 p.m. entertainment featuring Wayne Wonder and Spragga Benz
