Free and cheap events at MOCA in North Miami

The Museum of Contemporary Art in North Miami is the place to check out groundbreaking and thought-provoking exhibitions and catch live jazz acts on the last Friday of the month during the free Jazz at MOCA. However, it's also where to go for other free and cheap events.

November:

MOCA Makers – Body Casting with Shawna Moulton on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 1-3 p.m. A a hands-on workshop in plaster casting where participants will learn to mold and cast hands to create personal sculptures. $10.

The Reset on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Spend the day at this community event that will include reiki and sound healing sessions, live performances by DJ FlyGuy, The People's Choir and Jacareo, museum tours, live art and art making along with a panel discussion. There will also be food for purchase. Free.

Jazz at MOCA on Friday, Nov.  29 at 8 p.m. with featured artist Ben Beals. Free.
