Free: Fire Rescue Centennial Celebration, Boynton Beach

In 1924, the Boynton Beach Fire Rescue Department was formed to assist newly arriving settlers to the area during the Florida Land Boom of the 1920s. To further accommodate the influx of people migrating from the North, the town also invested in infrastructure projects such as roads, water systems, and power lines.

This year, marks the 100th Anniversary and a community celebration is planned.

What: Boynton Beach Fire Rescue's Centennial Celebration

When: From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024

Where: Centennial Park, 129 E. Ocean Ave., Boynton Beach

Cost: Free and open to the public; vendor prices vary.

  • Technical Rescue Team (TRT) Scenario #2 - 3:30 p.m.
  • Live Music from Fire Brigade Band - 4 to 6 p.m.
  • Static Displays: Suppression Unit, Marine Unit, Jetski's and Brush Truck
