In 1924, the Boynton Beach Fire Rescue Department was formed to assist newly arriving settlers to the area during the Florida Land Boom of the 1920s. To further accommodate the influx of people migrating from the North, the town also invested in infrastructure projects such as roads, water systems, and power lines.
This year, marks the 100th Anniversary and a community celebration is planned.
