Shop for fresh produce, prepared foods, vintage treasures, art, decor and other items from South Florida vendors, farmers and artisans at the many farmers' markets and vendor fairs in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.

The South Florida farmers markets and vendor fairs often include opportunities for extra fun and entertainment like yoga, live music, hayrides, pony rides, face painting or petting zoos. Usually entry is free. For lots of events, parking is free. Often yoga is free.

Vendor fairs and farmers markets offer opportunities for delightful, and frugal, outdoor family fun, solo excursions or dates.

Parkland Farmers Market

Parkland farmers market is 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. designated Sundays November – April at the Equestrian Center, 8350 Ranch Road, Parkland.

Lots of events feature themes, including a pet expo November 17, business expo, January 19 and April 17 is an environmental expo.

Dania Pointe, shopping, dining and entertainment hub, offers Night market events, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. fourth Fridays and occasionally other dates, featuring artisan wares, food & other items. Dania Pointe is at 150 Sunset Drive, Dania Beach.

Sawgrass Mills Farmer's and Artisan's market

10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays at the popular shopping, dining and entertainment venue. Information is online.

The MKT at Las Olas Oceanside Park

The MKT  is usually open 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturdays and  10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sundays, with free entry. Verify hours on the MKT website.

Extra activities and entertainment are often featured.  Yoga is often offered, sometimes free and sometimes for an extra fee.

Las Olas Oceanside Park is at 3000 E. Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale. Parking is usually $4 an hour.

Yellow Green Market

Yellow Green market

The popular venue features a variety of vendor booths, including an eclectic international array of food items, artisan items, apparel, home decor and produce. It's at 3080 Sheridan Street, Hollywood, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, 954-513-3990, website. Parking fees are $10 to $30.

Green Market in Pompano Beach

This season market is open November through April from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. the second and fourth Saturdays, website. It's at Pompano Beach Cultural Center, 50 W. Atlantic Boulevard, Pompano Beach, 33060. Extra events like yoga are offered occasionally.

Shops at Pembroke Gardens

Southwest Ranches

Farmers market in Southwest Ranches is  10 a.m. – 3 p.m.  Saturdays, weather permitting, 16290 Griffin Road, Southwest Ranches 33331. Depending on the season, hours may vary.  Refer to the website.

Flamingo Road Nursery & Farmers Market

Marando Farms

The market is at 5151 SW 64th Avenue, Davie 33314, 954-945-5744, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch weekends. There is a petting zoo, with a fee of $5 per person and free for 2 and younger. Other activities on weekends include hayrides, train rides, $5 each or a package for $15. Downtown Hollywood ArtWalk events, which are usually the third Saturday of the month, include artisan vendors. The Artisan Market is 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Harrison Street, from 20th Avenue to 21st Avenue.

Food In Motion

This event is usually 6 p.m. – 11 p.m. first and third Fridays on Riverwalk at Esplanade Park, 400 SW 2nd Street, Fort Lauderdale. The event includes food vendors, street food, food trucks, artisan foods and other items. Information is on Facebook

Plantation Food Truck events
