An event featuring Haitian films hosted by Haitian filmmaker Al’Ikens Planche is 6 p.m. Friday, May 9 with the opportunity to pay what you are able to pay. Tastings of Haitian dishes are offered while supplies last. Register online.

- Konpa Pompano Beach
The Haitian Heritage music and dance event is 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. May 10 with vendors 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. a Konpa dance workshop and dance party.
The fee is $25.

Water Works
Water slides, a DJ and food vendors are featured at Water Works. The event in 2025 is 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at the pool and park at 901 NW 10th Street, Pompano Beach. Parking is free.
