Family Workshop at Lowe Art Museum

Join the Lowe Art Museum education program leads for a free, Family Workshop “Mini Masterpieces: Make Your Own Netsuke” on Saturday, June 10 from 10-11 a.m.

Lowe Art Museum

Explore your creativity! Join educators from the Lowe Art Museum as we get inspired by netsuke — miniature ornamental sculptures that originated from Japan in the 17th century. Participants will create their own netsuke from air dry clay, using various tools and techniques to add decorative surface elements. This Family Workshop complements works on view in the Lowe's exhibition Art Lab: Spirits of Time: Netsuke from the Joseph and Elena Kurstin Collection.

Family Workshops are a monthly program designed for intergenerational groups. Join us at the Lowe Art Museum to look, learn, and create! Click here to reserve your spot.
