Great American Beach Party in Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale is throwing a Great American Beach Party to kick off Memorial Day Weekend.

The fun and free event in 2026 is 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at the beach and Las Olas Oceanside Park. Throw on your favorite pair of shades and pack up your towels & sunscreen.

Family-friendly fun at the event includes:

Sand sculpting at Las Olas Boulevard and A1A
11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Water slides at Las Olas Boulevard and A1A
Kids' zone
Parachute jump by SOCOM Para-Commandos
Art show
Vendors and exhibitors
Bands
Auto show

Las Olas Oceanside Park is at 3000 E. Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale.

Parking fees:

Event parking is $25 at various locations including at Las Olas Garage, 200 E. Las Olas Circle, Fort Lauderdale street parking and Fort Lauderdale Beach Park, 700 Seabreeze Boulevard.

Parking at the Riverwalk garage are $3 an hour.for non-registered residents and $1.50 per hour for Fort Lauderdale residents registered with the parking office.
