Free entry for Fort Lauderdale residents to NSU Art Museum

The NSU Art Museum in Fort Lauderdale offers free admission as part of Sunny Days/Starry Nights events from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. the first Thursday of each month.

The events include activities for kids and adults.  Often events include 2-for-1 deals on wine.

Free hands-on art activities 

The free first Thursdays events usually include free Mini Muse events for kids, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with drop-in art projects.

Regular fees are $16 for adults; $10 for seniors; $8 for military; $5 for students 13 to 17 years old and college students with ID; and free for NSU students, faculty and staff, museum members, and ages 12 and younger.

NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale also offers these opportunities for discounts or free entry:

  • Residents of Fort Lauderdale are admitted free on Fort Lauderdale Neighbor Day, usually the last Sunday of the Month, with a driver's license, or residential utility bill with proof of Fort Lauderdale address.
  • Recipients of SNAP benefits get in free with their EBT card and photo ID. Four people can get in free for each card.
  • Active-duty military personnel and their families, including National Guard and Reserves, are admitted free from Memorial Day to Labor Day as part of the Blue Star Museums program.
  • Bank of American card holders get free admission the first full weekend of every month through Bank of America's Museums on Us program.
