The Riverwalk Chili Cook-off in Fort Lauderdale includes food for purchase, including opportunities to taste entries and vote on favorites. Entry is free.
The Riverwalk Chili Cook-off is open to both amateur and professional chefs, who compete for the opportunity to participate in the World Championship Chili Cook-offs. Many competing teams also raise money and awareness for local nonprofit groups.
The winner is chosen by the public, who buy sample cups, taste the chili and vote for their favorite chef.

The event in 2026 is 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, February 21, at Esplanade Park, 400 SW Second St., Fort Lauderdale 33312. Riverwalk is a lovely pedestrian walkway on the New River.
Parking is about $3 an hour.
