Fantasy Theatre Factory produces a series of live stage performances for young audiences that bring fun, family-friendly shows to life. Tickets are usually only $5 per show, some are free, plus many sensory-inclusive performances are available.

Scrooge! A Fractured Christmas Carol.

Fantasy Theatre Factory's humorous adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic tale into a Miami story has quickly become a Miami holiday tradition, popular with all ages.

This version of the story, co-directed, written, and starring FTF’s Artistic Director Larry Fields, transports audiences from 1840s London to present-day Miami, where the iconic Ebenezer Scrooge finds himself on a journey of self-discovery and redemption, alongside a cast of larger-than-life characters and a dash of local flair.

“Scrooge! A Fractured Christmas Carol” will be performed on these dates:

  • Saturday, Nov. 30, at 11:30 a.m. Sandrell Rivers Theater, Miami.
  • Sunday, Dec. 1, sensory-inclusive show, at 11:30 a.m. Sandrell Rivers Theater, Miami.
  • Friday, Dec. 20, 2024, at 7 p.m. Sandrell Rivers Theater, Miami.
  • Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, at 7 p.m. Sandrell Rivers Theater, Miami.
  • Sunday, Dec. 22, 2024, at 7 p.m. Sandrell Rivers Theater, Miami.

“Scrooge” will also be performed for free at several libraries. No tickets are required for these performances. Upcoming library performances are :

2025 Fantasy Theatre Factory Shows

Here are the upcoming shows for 2025:

  • Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025 at 11: 30 a.m. – Wizards and Dragons and Books… Oh My! is a literacy incentive and bully prevention show about a boy named Jojo who is a bookworm and his crazy encounter at Mendel's Magical Book Shop where the book's characters come to life.
  • Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. – Heroes in My House, a Journey Through Black History telling the story of historic Black figures through the eyes of a grade school kid who must choose one for his school project.
  • Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. – The Never Everglades where the main character is Dudley, a Florida Roseate Spoonbill and his fight to save The Everglades from The Three Little Pigs.
  • The Mis-Adventures of Pinocchio – a re-telling of the classic tale in this sensory-inclusive performance. May 10, 2025 at 11:30 a.m.; July 18 & 19, 2025 at 7 p.m.; July 20, 2025 at 11:30 a.m.

These informative, educational and entertaining productions are usually performed at the troupe's base: The Sandrell Rivers Theatre at 6103 NW 7th Ave., Miami, FL 33127.
