Dia de los Muertos, Doral Yard

The multi-day holiday known as Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) involves family and friends gathering to pay respects and remember friends and family members who have died.

Ancestral celebrations

The tradition originated in Mexico and other pre-Columbian societies. Cultural traditions of Mesoamerica connected with the holiday include honoring the deceased with food, dance, music, crafts, prayers, and Aztec marigold flowers to mark the remembrance of loved ones.

Coral Gables

Day of the Dead Celebration in Coral Gables family-friendly event with traditional live Mexican dance performances and live music and authentic Mexican cuisine for sale. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025 rom 5-10 p.m. at Ponce Circle Park, 2010 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Coral Gables. Free admission.

Doral Yard

Festivities for the annual Día de los Muertos Ancestral Celebration at Doral Yard is Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, from 6 to 10 p.m. General admission is free; there is a $12.51 fee for some activities, like the Sugar Skull Station and Calavera Face Painting. Get e-tickets on eventbrite.

CityPlace Doral

The main Day of the Dead event at CityPlace will be on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, from 6 to 9 p.m., where children and families can enjoy face painting, food sampling from local restaurants and a processional with performances by folkloric dancers, stilt walkers, mariachis, costumed characters, night market and more. Admission is free.
