Earth Day events in Miami-Dade County

Earth Day 2025 is officially on April 22 and since that's a Tuesday, many of the Miami-Dade events celebrating Mother Earth are happening before and after then.

Here are events we have found around Miami honoring Earth Day:

Events on Saturday, April 12:

Turtle Fest Miami Beach click here for info

PAMM Free Second Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., 1103 Biscayne Blvd., Miami
The PAMM Teen Arts Council (PTAC) leads the day's activities which are all centered around the earth, climate and our future. Includes teen led tours, communal art projects and an O, Miami Poetry activation. Click here for info.

Events on Saturday, April 19:

Green Awareness Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Enchanted Forest Elaine Gordon Park, 1725 NE 135 St., North Miami. 
Event hosted by North Miami Commissioner Kassandra Timothe to educate residents on community green products and services with vendor booths, sustainability workshops and volunteer clean-up. Click here for info.

Earth Day Yoga & Street Cleanup from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Domino Park, 1444 SW 8 St., Miami. 
Come to the heart of Little Havana and start the morning off with yoga and then participate in a street cleanup. Event is sponsored by Miami-Dade County Commission 5, Debris Free Oceans, Healthy Little Havana and EarthDay.org. Click here for info.

Polishing Pinecrest Recycling & Cleanup Event from 8 a.m. to noon at Evelyn Greer Park, 8200 SW 124 St., Pinecrest. 
Participate in a Village-wide clean up, bring your electronics, chemicals and clothing to the drive-thru recycling and make use of the on-site paper shredder. Click here for all info and what items are recyclable. 

Celebrate Earth Day Brickell Cleanup from noon to 3 p.m. at 239 SW 9 St., Miami.
Soca Cafe Miami hosts a cleanup while doing so sustainably. Participants are asked to bring a reusable water bottle, sun protection and reusable gardening gloves. Click here to register.

IKEA Earth Day Celebration from 1-3 p.m., 1801 NW 117 Ave., Miami.
Family event with an Earth Day craft activity and learn about being sustainable by using IKEA products. Click here to register.

Events on Sunday, April 20:

National Water Dance from 3-6 p.m. at Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center, 6767 Crandon Blvd., Key Biscayne.
6th Annual Edition of “Moving Forward Together” featuring local dance companies performing on the sands of Crandon Park Beach along with an Eco-Summit, beach clean up and sunset happy hour. 

Events on Tuesday, April 22:

Doral Earth Day Celebration, from 6-8:30 p.m., Doral Glades Park, 7600 NW 98 Pl.
Ribbon cutting ceremony of new community garden followed by face painting, photo booth, hands on Cooking With your Garden class and a caricaturist on hand to draw your portrait. Click here to RSVP.

 

Events on Saturday, April 26:

We are the Power: A Celebration of Life, Legacy and Earth from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Historic Black Precinct Courthouse and Museum, 480 NW 11 St., Miami
Family-friendly event with a scavenger hunt, historic tour, climate justice talks, youth are exhibition and electric vehicles. Click here to register.

Earth Day and Arbor Day Celebration at Miami-Dade Parks from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Larry and Penny Thompson Memorial Park and Campground, 12451 SW 184 St., Miami
Volunteer effort to restore the carbon footprint at the park's Pine Rockland habitat. Family-friendly activities include nature-based exhibits, a kids' fun zone, community tree and plant giveaway, trail and shoreline cleanup and giveaways. Click here to register.

Events on Sunday, April 27:

3rd Annual Race for our Future Earth Day 5K with 6:30 a.m. registration and 7:30 a.m. start time at The Underline Brickell Station, 800 SW 1 Ave., Miami
Hosted by the CLEO Institute, a run/walk to help coral reefs and Biscayne Bay. Event also includes a post-race awards ceremony with music and an interactive Eco-Village. Click here to register.

Bill Baggs Earth Day with the CATEURA Recycled Orchestra from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, 1200 Crandon Blvd., Key Biscayne.
Performance by the musical group dubbed the “Landfill Philharmonic” who host a meet and greet to kick off the day then attendees will build their own instruments and then perform on them during a community concert. There will also be art-making projects with local artists and the park rangers. Click here to RSVP.
